- The cables are a little longer than the described lengths depending on how you measure them. With the cables laid flat the overall length is about 2 inches + the stated length, so for example a 6" cable measures 8" in overall length, before the right angles of the plug shafts. The amount of flexible cable between the metal plugs, including the exposed portions of the heatshrink is approximately the stated length less about 1 inch.
