NO TUNER NEEDED
THIS IS THE UJM-EFHW-80-10
This antenna is made by using a matching network consisting of a
49:1 bifilar wound toroid with the needed capacitance added for wide, multi band, no tuner needed operation.
PLEASE LOOK AT ALL PICTURES TO SEE THE DETAILS AND CRAFTSMANSHIP!
This sale is for a true, half wave end fed antenna for 80-10 meters
This antenna is rated at 200W PEP and 75W digital/CW and is PERFECT
for both portable or permanent installations!
This antenna comes complete with 130 feet of stealthy but strong MARINE 18AWG fully tinned insulated copper stranded wire. Marine wire is tough and made for harsh environments. Nylon UV dogbone insulator and all Stainless Steel hardware on the matching box. The box is sealed with a foam gasket as well.
Without a tuner the antenna works 80,40,20,15, 10 and usually 12 meters as well. 12 meters will depend on your setup.
With a decent tuner you can also tune 30 and 12 meters and 17 meters. I do also have a 40 thru 10 meter version listed for sale and is only 65 feet long.
One of the great things about this antenna is that the height you mount it will have a smaller affect on SWR than other antenna types. This gives you a large flexibility in your installation.
One huge advantage of these antennas is that they typically have
very good "ears" with a low noise floor!
Please note, I used the same pictures for this listing as my 40-10 meter version so the 80m SWR is not shown but just as good as others.
As you can see from the picture the antenna box does come with the mounting eye-bolt wired for optional ground however with this type of antenna adding a ground or counterpoise will have little to no affect on the antenna tuning and is not needed since it's built as a DC ground potential antenna already. Also, NO RF CHOKE NEEDED IN MOST INSTALLATIONS!
Most users will find no rf issues and find no rf choke is needed. That said, using a GOOD rf choke is always good ham practice
and I do have my own designed choke/s with full choking specifications listed with the one authorized distributor for them. It can be found by putting the eBay item number in the eBay search bar. That number is 264946030545
Another advantage of this antenna is the endless ways you can deploy it. I recommend a simple sloper installation and you can mount the box close to the ground with your element sloping upwards. When installed as a sloper you will see fantastic results if you can get the far end of the element up to 25' or more. That being said, you can install this antenna: horizontal, vertical, inverted "L", zigzag and more.
The screenshot pictures shown above on the Rigol Spectrum Analyzer and SWR at the radio are shown with the antenna in a sloper configuration with the box fed at 5 feet and the far end up at 27' from the ground fed with 75' of LMR400 coax. Your unique installation may vary those reading a bit.
This is a very simple antenna to install and no extra instructions are necessary but if you do have any questions please feel free to ask. Simply secure a cord to the mounting eye-bolt and stretch out your element for your installation and secure it.
Great for ALE HF-link stations, NVIS, MARS, ARES, EMCOMM
I have produced and sold more than 15,000 antennas here on eBay alone and still maintain a 100% positive feedback for a reason. everything I make and send is made by myself, no help allowed and only made as if it were as my own antenna. I feed my family this way and so my customers ALWAYS get the highest level of quality and customer service I can provide. To put it simple, my livelihood depends on it.
If anyone has an issue at all, please just send me a message through eBay and I will take care of you as I have done on here for over 7 years now.
I also have 9:1 unun Random Wire Matchboxes that are designed to be used with a tuner on all bands with a *random* length wire as well. PLEASE LOOK AT MY OTHER LISTINGS!
