Fits hand held transceivers and scanning receivers that have an BNC-female antenna jack.
SPECIFICATIONS: Tx Frequency range 135-155 MHz with VSWR < 1.5:1, Rx Frequency Range 25-1200MHz,
Gain rated up to 3.5 dBi,
Extends from 10-1/4" to 42-1/2", BNC Connector
For transmitting, you must set the antenna length as close as possible to the transmitting frequency’s 1/4 wavelength. This ensures the best possible transmission by using the proper standing wave ratio (SWR).
Use this formula to calculate the proper length for a 1/4 wavelength transmitting antenna:
2834/Freq. in MHz = Antenna Length in Inches
    . Example: 2834/147 (MHz) =19.3 Inches
For the best reception when using with handheld scanner, adjust the antenna length as shown below
Extend to full length for reception of 25–50 MHz (VHF Low), 50–54 MHz (Ham), 108–136 MHz (Aircraft)
Extend top sections to 19" for reception of 138–144 MHz (Government) 144–148 MHz (Ham) 148–174 MHz (VHF High)
Extend on one to three of the lower sections for reception of 220 MHz (Ham) 380–450 MHz (UHF Low) 470–512 MHz (UHF TV) 800–900 MHz 1296 MHz (Ham)
