You must have a 512 Hertz receiver to use these transmitters. Will not work with an am or fm radio

The FTP-8 flushable transmitter works in cast iron and nonmetallic lines along with septic tanks. The flushable transmitter uses the 512 Hz frequency and will work with our Digital LineFinder receivers along with the Ferris analog receiver. Sold separately. Compatible with any receiver that can pick up the 512 Hertz frequency. Manufactured in the United States
